We once thought that supply referred mainly to material things, but our Leader has shown us that the true sense of substance is found in the understanding of Life, Truth, Love, and we who daily pray for that Mind to be in us "which was also in Christ Jesus," must know that the Way-shower not only received large supplies of divine power, but that he was willing to give his all; that while he gave us as of first import his spiritual work, he remembered the temporal needs of humanity and fed the multitude. Though we consider our church a spiritual structure, yet its outward symbol must be sustained. He who has told us to ask largely and we shall receive, bids us bring the tithes into His storehouse. How priceless seem the values of the supplies of understanding and wisdom which we have received through Christian Science! How beyond price are the peace and deliverance from fear! Silver and gold seem as trifles compared to these, and yet we may even here show a willingness to gain the spiritual by giving up the material, for we must do this at every point if we would lay up treasure in heaven. Jesus commended the woman who so appreciated the spiritual blessings which he brought to humanity that she poured the costly ointment on his head. God's promises are indeed wonderful to those who are willing to trust Him for all supply. There is no more helpful thought on this subject than that found on page 307 of "Miscellaneous Writings," where Mrs. Eddy says: "God gives you His spiritual ideas, and in turn, they give you daily supplies. Never ask for tomorrow: it is enough that divine Love is an ever-present help; and if you wait, never doubting, you will have all you need every moment." Then, knowing that all the Father hath is ours, as we need it, it is our privilege to share this rich abundance, since, as someone has so understandingly said, To give as the rain floods all the thirsting earth, As flings the breeze its ripple of soft mirth; As the wide tree spreads shade in noontide glare, The best thou knowest give, that all may share. And as these lack not,
neither shalt thou lack;
