HEALING OF INJURED ANKLE For two months I tried to overcome this condition but made no headway. I felt rather ashamed to ask for help, having done so well at first, and then grew a determination to make the healing complete, which I know was self-will. Then one day while reading Science and Health I came across the reference quoted. I immediately wrote to a friend in a distant city who was a practitioner, asking for treatment, and within three days the healing was complete. I was grateful for the physical freedom, but much more so for the mental healing which took place. Christian Science has worked wonders in our home, and I do not see how people manage a house, a home, or a business without it. Many unpleasant traits have been overcome, a tendency to criticize, covetousness, self-will, and pride. I did not think I was entertaining any of these alien thoughts until the searchlight of Truth was turned on self. I am thankful to God for the experiences which have made these self-examinations necessary, and more than grateful to Mrs. Eddy for showing us the way to apply the truth to our everyday life. It is the correction of seemingly little faults that fits us to overcome those that take on larger proportions. I am grateful indeed for the Christian Science literature, and more so than I can tell for the illumination Christian Science brings to the Scriptures. Maud H. Davis
