HEALED
Christian
Science came to me in the darkest hour of a mother's life
— when the discovery was made that my baby was born
blind. I was not told of this condition until he was about
six weeks old. Several physicians and eye specialists
examined the eyes, but they could give me no hope except
that he might outgrow the trouble; for there was no help for
him. In my despair I wrote to a Christian Science
practitioner, and asked her to pray for my little one. In a
short time we moved and present treatments were given the
child. One evening, soon afterwards, while his father was
holding him one eye was cleared. In a short time the other
was also cleared, and then we knew that God was almighty.
The eyes, though weak at first, gradually grew stronger and
stronger. Today the lad is past nine years old. He has never
had any trouble whatsoever with his eyes since they were
healed, and to see him one would never know that such a
condition had ever existed.
For
this blessing and many others that have come to me and mine,
I am sincerely grateful. Words cannot express my
thankfulness to God, and my gratitude to Mrs. Eddy, who
through her loving patience helped us along the
way.
