Christian Science Testimony SPINAL MENINGITIS HEALED            Three years ago my wife was suddenly taken ill. She had not taken much interest in Christian Science and felt she should go to the hospital. The trouble was supposed to be neuritis, but in a day or two it developed into spinal meningitis in its worst form. Two special nurses and a consulting physician were called. Everything humanly possible was done to gain relief, but without result. For several days the report was passed around the hospital that she could not live throughout the day. The nurses and physicians worked night and day to give relief, without success.          The doctors came to me and said only one thing more could be done and that was a severe operation. If this did not do any good, nothing more could be done. The operation was performed without result. The head and heels were slowly drawing together. Her temperature records were as high as 106 degrees. She was unconscious most of the time, blind and partly deaf. From the medical standpoint there was apparently no relief available, so I called a Christian Science practitioner. Relief was almost immediately received, much to the surprise of the physicians, who claimed paralysis would set in and that if she did live she would never be able to walk.          After the practitioner was called, the different phases of the patient's condition were met as they presented themselves. In a few days the patient was able to leave the hospital. There was still a rigidness of the neck, but this disappeared the following day and the hearing also returned. Within a few days, which seemed an incredibly short time, she attended a party. She has remained in perfect health since, and is a firm believer in the power and efficacy of Christian Science as given to the world by our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, in her interpretation of the Bible in the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures."          Words cannot express my gratitude and appreciation for this, and many other physical healings, and for the spiritual growth and uplift from the study and application of the truth as revealed by Christian Science.
