BACK PAIN
HEALED
The
following healing has given me great joy. Three years ago I
seemed to strain the muscles of my back by lifting a
patient. I did not take the time to do any special Science
work for it until I returned to my home. After a few days,
when I was hanging some window draperies, the pain in my
back became so severe I could with difficulty get down from
the stepladder. At first I was filled with fear, but
immediately I remembered that my remedy, divine Love, was
ever present. Then these words came to me from our textbook,
"Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary
Baker Eddy, on page 14, where our dear Leader says, "Become
conscious for a single moment that Life and intelligence are
purely spiritual, — neither in nor of matter, —
and the body will then utter no complaints." I went to work
to prove the truth of these words. I do not know how long I
worked, but for a time I was not conscious of a material
body, — I just knew that man is spiritual, "neither in
nor of matter." Then I returned to my work, realizing I had
been healed; and I have not had a return of the trouble
since. This is only one of the many beautiful proofs of
Christian Science healing which I have had. I am grateful to
God; to Christ Jesus, the Way-shower; and to our beloved
Leader, Mrs. Eddy, who has given to the world this wonderful
truth.
