TUMOR
HEALED
Eight
years ago, when Christian Science was first presented to me,
I was under the care of a medical specialist, suffering with
a fatty tumor on my hand. Knowing of healings through
Christian Science of cases similar to mine, I began to read
the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the
Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. Later on, another condition
arose, — the grippe. A dear friend insisted that I get
some help from a Christian Science practitioner. Personally
I had never had any use for Christian Science practitioners;
and I made the call on one very reluctantly, and filled with
resentment. On my way home after the treatment, I found that
my thought, which had seemed to be so full of fear and hate,
was full of a love that I had never experienced before. And
as this higher sense began to dawn in my consciousness and I
entertained it, the tumor which had been on my hand for ten
years disappeared overnight, and no sign of the grippe
remained. Neither of these disorders has ever returned; and
I am truly grateful for the healings.
Each
day Christian Science brings great blessings and spiritual
joys into my life; and as I put into practice the truths I
read in the textbook and the other writings of our revered
Leader, I am able to comprehend better the words and works
of Jesus the Christ as recorded in the Bible. Indeed, the
Bible has become a very precious volume to me.
My
gratitude for contentment is unbounded; and "the peace of
God, which passeth all understanding" is for me a present
possibility.
