Radical
Doctrinal Shift
Our Center was established in 1995 to preserve and
extend the religion of Christian Science as taught
by Mary Baker Eddy. Since 1989, our group has been
independent from The First Church of Christ,
Scientist, in Boston,
which we
believe has abandoned Mrs. Eddy's interpretation
and explanation of Christian Science. For more
information, click

Mrs. Eddy's
Place
In 1943, the Christian Science Board of Directors
published a position-statement based on the report
of a six-member committee of editors and former
editors of the Christian Science periodicals
appointed by the Directors in April, 1938, "to
discover just what Mrs. Eddy believed concerning
herself with respect to Scriptural prophecy."
The committee "was
given access to Mrs. Eddy's private correspondence,
as well as to her published writings. After
prayerfully and carefully studying the evidence,
the committee made a report to the Board of
Directors of fifty-seven pages of typewritten
evidence that Mrs. Eddy regarded herself as having
fulfilled Bible prophecy."
As divergent
teaching became more and more entrenched in the
official Church organization, the Christian Science
Board of Directors eventually rejected "Mrs. Eddy's
Place" and withdrew the leaflet containing it from
all Christian Science Reading Rooms worldwide,
about the year 1979.
In contrast, our
organization recognizes Mrs. Eddy's place in the
fulfillment of Bible prophecy as an important
element of genuine Christian Science teaching. For

Endtime
Prophecy
Another result of the doctrinal shift is that the
early Christian Science teaching on endtime
prophecy is no longer accepted by The First Church
of Christ, Scientist (see Its not the
end of the world, Christian Science
Sentinel, May 25, 1998). Our organization,
however, does accept the Bible prophecies of a
global conflagration, as well as Mrs. Eddy's
endtime prophecies. For more information,

Activities
Our activities include Church services,
metaphysical meetings, and the publication of books
in accord with the class teaching of Mary Baker
Eddy and Christ Jesus prophecy that
this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached
in all the world for a witness unto all nations;
and then shall the end come. (Matthew
24:14)
